It was in 1975 that S.P. Solvent now known as S.P Solvent Ltd entered the Solvent Extraction Industry setting up the very first batch type Solvent Extraction Plant in Northern India with an installed capacity of processing 25 MT of Rice Bran /day. S.P Solvent was inaugurated by Shri K.C Pant (Hon’able Minister of Energy- Govt. of India) on 24 Dec 1975.
Over a period of time company expanded its capacity of batch type Solvent extraction plant to process 150 MT of Rice Bran /Day. In order to keep pace with the company’s growth and expansion a 200 TPD Continuous Solvent Extraction Plant was commissioned in 2011.The Company’s manufacturing unit is located in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. Company has exported De-Oiled Rice Bran to various countries during the period between 1975 – 1995.For this export activity the company had received three export awards in the year 1980 – 1981,1981-1982 and 1988-1989. S.P.Solvent Ltd is the prestigious ISO 9001-2000 certified company.
In the year 1995 a new plant was set up to manufacture balance cattle feed with an installed capacity of 20 MT/ Day. Since the early days, S.P. Solvent Ltd has endeavoured to supply its Cattle Feed to customers through an extensive network of dealers and retailer , which form a dedicated force behind the success of company. Company is also supplying cattle feed to various government and private institutions like (G.B.P.U.A.T-Pantnagar, Mother Dairy etc.) Today S.P. Solvent Ltd. commands the resources, expertise and infrastructure to manufacture 150 MT of Live Stock Feed every day which is quality certified by Bureau of Indian Standards (ISI). Supported by our state of art production facility, which has been constantly upgraded ensures production flexibility and that the highest quality parameters are met with.
To add value to company’s product a latest 50 MT/Day column continuous refinery was commissioned in the year 2008 to manufacture refined oils and to meet up with the increasing demand in the market. Presently the company has capacity to process 100 MT of crude oils/Day.
To further boost its product range a modern Poultry Feed manufacturing unit was set up with an installed capacity of 75 MT /Day. Company produces a vast variety of poultry feed for different species of poultry like White Broilers, Colored Broilers, Layers, Japanese Quails etc.We has been revolutionizing innovation and entrepreneurship – serving the society through quality products and services at competitive prices. Mr.Pawan Kumar a well known industrialist, is the chairman of S.P Solvent Ltd. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and had completed feed manufacturing course from Kansas State University-USA & International Feed Production course from Utah State University-USA, in the year 2003. He is associated with oil industry since last 40 years and with animal feed industry since last 20 years. He has indepth knowledge of both of these fields.
Mr. Kumar is a member of leading industry associations like-CII,SEA,CLFMA,KGCCI and a recipient of various awards and honors.
He is looking after day to day management of the company. He has good exposure in the field of production, sale, purchase, finance & general administration and is involved in the strategic initiatives of the company.
The local business areas of the company encompass oil extraction, refining and manufacturing of animal feed.
Mr. Ankit Agarwal a young dynamic post graduate in finance from S.P Jain Institute of Management & Research-Mumbai, is the Executive Director & C.F.O. of S.P Solvent Ltd. Mr.Agarwal had completed International Feed Production course from Utah State University in 2005 and Feed manufacturing course from Kansas State University-USA in the year 2007. He has rich ten years of Experience in finance & administration related to particularly edible oil manufacturing industry. He has good knowledge to organize a business in efficient and effective way. He is known for his enthusiasm and hard work and his contribution is beyond measurable and confined to any limit. He is involved in overseeing various functions across the company, including accounting, financial management, strategy planning, business restructuring etc.
